Dr. Nazima Sangha, originally from North Delta, BC, earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from UBC and a Doctorate of Optometry from the Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. After successfully practicing optometry in Richmond, BC for many years she has recently relocated to Victoria and, with great pleasure, joined the team at the Family Eyecare Centre. Dr. Sangha is a Full A Registrant of the College of Optometry. This allows her to practice to the highest standard of clinical care. She is passionate about her profession and enjoys interacting with patients, discussing their best means of vision correction, their eye health and learning about their own passions. She is experienced in specialty contact lens fitting, pre- and post-operative surgical care, and vision therapy. In addition, Dr. Sangha is a Clinical Director with the medical program here in Victoria and an instructor for the Continuing Studies program at UVic.
Dr. Sangha has traveled with the Third World Eye Care Society (TWECS) and Amigos Eyecare to Romania, Honduras and Kenya to provide free eye care and eye wear to those most in need. Locally, she has also volunteered with the Special Olympics, the annual Diabetes Fair in Vancouver, sun-awareness programs, and has served as one of the youngest Council Members for the British Columbia Association of Optometrists. She also served as Chair of the the Greater Vancouver Optometric Society for two years and has earned the Tole Greenstein Award from the Northwest Congress of Optometry. She is now a proud member of the Victoria Rotary Club.
